HELLO & WELCOME TO THE OUTER LIMITS OF THE WWW. This is my portfolio muse. I'm Tony Anderson, it's good of you to visit.
I am a freelance and contracting illustrator and designer. In my spare time I make books and in my spare spare time I draw pictures and also screen print from time to time.
At the moment I'm looking for work, here are some things I can do:
- web animations and interactivity
- html, css and actionScripting (code mayhem)
- illustration
- design for web and print
- stills animation
- logos and branding
- mac operating (surgical gloves not withstanding)
- writing and editing
- screen printing
I have a wide range of skills and I am looking for a collaborative approach cos working from home leads to strange activities such as talking to pot plants.
You can download my resume here. Not quite as interesting as hearing it from the horse's mouth though. I'm not a horse by the way.

This is the Wellington 20102020 Project. It is somewhat of an attempt to create some dialogue regarding the poor state of cycle and public transport in Wellington, the city I live in and love. Check it out here.
As you might guess I'm a avid cyclist. The project is designed to spark some sort of debate and hopefully some action to get people who are a little more sane than myself to use non car options for their favorite modes of transport. If you have ideas or have something to add to the debate email me or go to my newly created Wordpress Blog here. As you may well guess I'm a commuter cyclist and as much as I love traffic jams (cos the cars are all going slower) I would like to see the city safer for all cyclists and not just the insane ones.
In light of the Gulf of Mexico BP oil spill this is urgent.

Here is a website I built for Niagara Green Interiors who hire indoor plants here in Wellington. I'm very happy with it.
Here's the LINK.

This is an illustration for Learning Media. The poet is Greg O'Connell who lives on the West Coast and writes fantastic and funny poetry for kids. You can find Greg's web site here!

Here is another illustration for Learning Media Ltd. It is from a mathematics and science series of text books.

BROWNIE & ASSOCIATES is a new company set up by Adam. He wanted an identity and some promotional material to send to potential new clients to get the business going.

Among some of the graphics work undertaken was a letterhead, business cards, application forms, brochures, a note pad and a calendar.

Here's some interactive work I did for The Alchemist a while ago. The story is a a play on the tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. It is a bit of a puzzle maze so you have to do a bit of work to click your way through. I've noticed kids seem to be better at figuring it out. Go figure?
Have fun with this one. I did.

Here are some typical sketchbook pages. I love sketchbooks. I always have on on the go and they're full of muses rants ramblings scribbles and doodles.
Depending on time/workload, it may take months and months to finish a sketchbook and it may contain numerous projects, freelance ones and personal ones. Sometimes It may take a few pages before I find that special character or expression I'm looking for. It is a very relaxed and hypnotic process.
